“BRING YOUR GROUP FOR A FUN FARMED EDUCATIONAL
EXPERIENCE OR JUST A DAY OUT”
Wharton Hall Farm Park aim is to provide both children and adults with an interactive education experience in order to gain knowledge about a wide range of farm and domesticated animals, these range from chipmunks to our Highland Cow, Kimberly.
Demostrations of the animals produce are also available such as the process of wool.
With large group visits the children are separated into three manageable groups, this provides each child with the opportunity to handle smaller animals and have their questions answered if they wish to do so. Upon request we can provide the groups with a farm quiz to complete whilst learning about the animals and there produce.
Group One:
“Its playtime!” children and adults can experience the indoor play barn with ball pool, cargo nets and football pitch, if weather permits there are also outdoor play areas and outdoor adult and children pedal go karts and track.
Group Two:
Visit the animal village, whilst a member of staff discuss the dietary and husbandry side of the animal the children can hold and pet the smaller animals is they wish to do so. Animals include tortoises, rabbits, chipmunks and much more!
Group Three:
Walk around the larger animals and provided with the opportunity to feed the animals such as sheep, alpacas,
goats and Kimberly the Highland Cow whilst learning and asking questions about there produce.
All groups are supervised and are given the same opportunities; seasonal activities such as bottle feeding lambs are also available.
When leaving time arrives we have a information pack of what the children will have learned and experienced on there visit to Wharton Hall Farm Park this includes the corn they fed the chickens, feathers, wool and information sheets on all the animals to read again at school.
